Received life membership in 2019.
Dani has been playing with Ainslie since 2002, notching an incredible achievement of over 297 senior games over a career spanning 20+ years. Dani would play her 200th game on 27th of April during the 2019 season, becoming the first woman at the Ainslie Football Club to have played 200 Senior Games, where Ainslie fittingly would go on to win over rivals Belconnen where Dani put in a best on ground performance.
During her time at Ainslie, Dani was a highly respected and influential member of the women’s team, noted for her commitment to the team week in and week out by those around her. She was considered by her teammates “”unlike any other ruckman in the competition in terms of her tap work, agility, skills and obvious goal kicking ability”.
Despite a knee injury that was described by physios as “football ending”, Dani’s never say die attitude has seen her come back to footy bigger and better than ever, a true demonstration of her love for the game and the club.
A testament to Dani’s standing at the club, the much coveted women’s best and fairest award at Ainslie is named in her honour. Dani’s unwavering commitment to the club over 20 years is worthy recognition of Life Membership.
