lan Kirkpatrick, a former Manuka player, has had a long association with Ainslie. From 1970 as a coach of Junior teams, then as Junior Development Officer in the 1980s.
From 1985 to 1991 he served on the Ainslie Senior Football Board. From early 1990s until 2001 lan helped with Junior Football Clinics and Registration Days. In 1993 he was awarded a National Australian Football Council Merit Award for his services to Australian Football.
