Received life membership in 1991.
A long time coach and manager for the club – John started his journey with the juniors, coaching five premierships between 1978 and 1984 before joining the committee in ’84. He would continue managing multiple other teams over the years, and in 1997 coached the Ainslie All Star’s team; a team made up of Ainslie veterans who had retired from play and coaching but took the field in a marquee match to open Ainslie Oval.
