Received life membership in 2024.
One of the first generation of Ainslie Women players, Meredith has played over 170 games for the club during her time here. Meredith has represented the ACT twice, finished runner up to the B&F Award twice, and has had the honour of being the namesake for the Division 1 Player’s Player award. A powerhouse on the field, Meredith was a strong defender; never letting any kick go un-contested, making sure any score that got past her was earned.
A force to be reckoned with on the field, Meredith was just as kind, generous, and energetic off it. No matter the result, she never let a bad game dampen her spirit. She could always be found with a smile on her face, lifting those around her and bringing the team together with her enthusiasm and unwavering positivity.
Meredith was deeply committed to the growth and success of the team. At a time when the women’s competition was still in its early days, she understood that building a team meant building a community.
Her passion for growing the game, welcoming new players, and fostering a strong sense of belonging helped lay the foundations of the women’s program at Ainslie. The inclusive culture she helped create remains one of the club’s greatest strengths and has played a significant role in making the women’s program the success it is today.
Life Membership acknowledges not only Meredith’s skill on the field but her passion and positive energy around the club.
