Received life membership in 1958.
Born Norman Lyng (name changed in 1938 toward the end of his Ainslie career) was a founding player at Ainslie starting in the first junior league in 1929, but would continue upwards to the seniors, playing until 1940 with 145 senior games under their belt.
Norman is best known for his work, post World War Two service, as a Librarian for the National Library. He had undertaken responsibilities such as re-establishing the public library in Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea. While not as big a name in the clubs history, Norman Lynravn was a fantastic player who would go on to do great deeds around Australia and its neighbouring countries.
