Patrick Palmer started out his Ainslie career in 1978 playing in the Second Grade team, between then and 1992 he would bow out at 203 Second Grade games and 20 First Grade games. Patrick was often seen as a reliable and stalwart player for the team, he would normally be found playing the midfield either as a rover or ruckman.
