Todd Pulford connection to Ainslie runs deep, starting out as junior in 1980 before graduating into the senior ranks in the 1992 season. From there, success came Todd’s way quickly, where he played a key role in four of Ainslie’s Premierships from 1994 to 1997. After Ainslie’s streak of Premierships came to an end in 1998, Todd would begin to take a more senior role as one of the representative players in the side and after many notable names began move on from Ainslie.
A individual highlight for Todd’s consistency and effort was recognised in 2000, where he was awarded the the Hibberson Cup First Grade B&F Award. Todd’s leadership began to shone through in the early 2000s where he was named Ainslie Co-Captain in 2002.
In a historic day for Todd and Ainslie as a whole, the season opener of 2005 marked the day Todd broke the Ainslie Club record for the most First Grade games, previously held by Charles Smith with 225 games. He retired at the end of that season on 236 games, and before a few years away from Ainslie, he returned later as a Fitness Coach from 2012 to 2014.
Life Membership for Todd speaks volume to his achievement as a record-breaker at Ainslie and his dedication to the club running almost 30 years.
