An Ainslie Junior form 1944 – Tom Played in the senior teams for a long stretch from 1950 – 1969. He was a member of the AFC Committee from 1953 to 1977. Tom was instrumental in the formation of the Monaro Football Association and was President of that association from 1973-1980. He received the National Australian Football Council Merit Award in 1978 and was also awarded an order The Order of Australia for service to Sport.
In his playing days he was known a very fierce and tough competitor. Tom was also a member of the first Social Club Committee and was one of the original bar managers in the social clubs formative years. He was also a great attendee of the well-known “Vets Lunches” for many years.
